Misgiving
I have deep misgiving about my internship. Actually, I think I should quit the job offered by the cram school and lead a tranquil life after my graduation, but how can I reject the proprietor of the cram school and ask him to give me a year free from teaching at his institute?
My best friend told me he had the same foreboding that the teachers of Taichung Second Senior High School would tell on me because the students who go to that cram school may "innocently" reveal my secret job. Moreover, I need to rush to the cram school after 5 p.m. every day and the teachers may become suspicious about my behavior--leaving the school on time and never stay at school for a longer while. When I went to that school to apply for the internship, the teachers there had been very curious about my intention. They were wondering why I would go to a new place to fulfill my obligation. Anyway, I have a foreboding that slander and embarrassment lurk in the shadows, and that I will become the conspicuous target to which many teachers will give their powerful ammunition.
Yes! I deserve it because I shouldn't accept the job. I feel ashamed of myself because I am a greedy man. Hadn't my mind and heart been eroded by avarice, I wouldn't be squirming now.
Bless me!
